Hi all, just joined the site as my daughter Annabel (age6) was diagnosed nearly 3 weeks ago and seems to be getting worse by the week. Just wondering how many months or years generally will she be limping and in pain? Will it get worse before it gets better? Is there anyone in Swansea who would like to chat?
Cheers
Angela

Hope this will help. My son Cameron aged 7 was diagnosed with perthes at the end of August and has now been pain free for approx 3 or 4 weeks. He has spent all of that time on crutches. His limp seems much better as well. Hope you get on ok. If your daughter wants an email buddy or pen pal sure Cameron would chat.
Good luck
