Perthes Association is a voluntary organisation dependant of the generosity of it’s members, friends and other supporters who work tirelessly to promote understanding of Perthes disease, and to assist families coping with the every day difficulties this diagnosis brings. We are grateful for the sponsorship of Airtech Air Conditioning and Climate Control, who have sponsored many events for the children and their families to enable them to meet other families and share their experiences.

One of the World’s Toughest Mudders had Perthes as a child!

Matthew Salerno writes : Just wanted to let you know that I had legg perthes as a child. I also had hip arthroscopy in May at John Hopkins to alleviate some discomfort it was giving me. Despite this, after rehabbing from my surgery I got myself back into top condition and was able to compete in several races these past few months. Among these races , one of these races was the World's Toughest Mudder.
